The Wampler Clarksdale Delta Overdrive is Wampler's take on the classic green Tube Screamer circuit, reworked with a wider, more flexible EQ and named for the Mississippi Delta blues tradition. A three-band EQ with active bass and midrange controls, plus a treble control behaving like the classic TS tone pot, reaches far more transparent tones than a stock Screamer as well as thicker, more cutting voices when the mids are pushed. A Lift/Smooth switch either lets the pedal sit back in a mix or brings leads forward with added presence and bite. Gain is usable and musical across its whole range -- at zero it works as a clean or shaped boost, and higher up it stays crisp and clear without fizz, holding note definition and meshing naturally with a tube amp's own breakup.
